We decided due to the amazing flavor profile and customer enthusiasm to carry our beloved Sumatra year round. This coffee hails from the North Sumatra province and its coffee have been historically referred to as “Mandheling” coffee as opposed to the southern Sumatra coffee which are referred to as “Lintong” coffee.

Sumatra coffees are prized for their bold, full body and spicy herbal flavors. Because of volcanic soil and the unique semi-washed method of processing, the coffees vary greatly from the fully washed coffees from Central America. You would find any bright, lemony notes in this coffee. Instead, this coffee is thick, herbaceous and syrupy. We liked the first arrivals last year so much we had to buy this coffee again!
